Leading British dance company, Rambert, have announced the cast and creative team for their upcoming performance Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby.

The show is a rendition of the British crime drama, Peaky Blinders, written and adapted for the stage by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, directed and choreographed by Benoit Swan Pouffer, with Simon Sinek and Robin Saunders joining the team as executive producers.

Guillaume Quéau and Prince Lyons will alternate the role of Tommy, while Naya Lovell and Seren Williams alternate Grace. The production will feature live musicians led by musical director Yaron Engler and a new track by Laura Mvula.

With narration by Birmingham-born Benjamin Zephaniah, an intense, drama-filled plot meets Rambert’s athletic dance routines and rich musicality to deliver a show filled with passion and lawlessness.

Zephaniah said: “Rambert is taking the Peaky Blinders to another level. When these two come together audiences will witness one of the most imaginative collaborations of all time. I’m so proud to be a part of this. We are making dance history, and we’re still keeping it gangster.”

The world premiere of Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby will take place at Birmingham Hippodrome, running from 27 September to 2 October this year. Its London premiere will be held at Troubadour Wembley Park on 12 October, before the UK tour commences in 2023. Further information can be found on Rambert’s website
