From Software have announced that Elden Ring will now release a month later than planned.

Announcing the news on social media, the developer confirmed that the game, which is being produced in collaboration with Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin, will now be released on February 25, 2022.

First announced to be in development at E3 2019, the game had initially been given a release date of January 21, 2022.

Those looking forward to testing out the game might be in luck, as the delay announcement was accompanied by the news that a Closed Network Test will be taking place in November.

Those wishing to be selected for the test will have until November 1st to register their interest on the Elden Ring website. This test will be open to those on console and cross-play will be supported within console families. Players will also need to have a Bandai Namco account to register for selection.

Elden Ring is scheduled to be released on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC on February 25, 2022.
