Apple TV+ has released the first full trailer for Ted Lasso season three.

Apple TV+ previously dropped an official teaser this Valentine’s Day, showing the Ted Lasso characters making believe signs with a soundtrack of Frank Turner’s ‘I Still Believe’, where they announced that the long-awaited new season would debut on March 15th.

This new two-minute trailer does its best not to give much away, mainly jumping back and forth between its most recognisable characters and places, along with some new places that we can expect to see in season three. Meanwhile, ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’ by The Rolling Stones plays in the background.

The trailer also features little dialogue, only showing some discussion between the team and coaches. Clearly, Apple is trying to keep some mystery for what the audience can expect. It does, however, tease that the drama between Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) and Nate Shelley (Nick Mohammed) will be at the centre of the upcoming season, which shouldn’t come as much of a revelation considering how Nate left the team last season.

In season two, Nate moved to West Ham United after feeling unappreciated and overlooked by his boss and AFC Richmond coach, Ted. Now working for Rupert (Anthony Head), Nate doesn’t look happy about his new situation. The trailer shows Nate sitting in the window seat of the restaurant he was so desperate for last season, but he seems lonely and uncomfortable, suggesting mixed feelings about his departure from Richmond.

The trailer indicates it will show the highs and lows as AFC Richmond returns to the Premier League with Ted, Beard (Brendan Hunt) and Roy (Brett Goldstein) continuing to coach the newly promoted team. We can assume that Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) is focused on defeating her ex-husband and West Ham United owner Rupert. Keeley (Juno Temple), however, faces a new challenge this season as she starts her very own PR firm.

It’s been a long wait for this new season since the last episode of the critically acclaimed Ted Lasso aired in October 2021, and with speculation that this could be the final season, fans are ready.

The new season of Ted Lasso will premiere on Apple TV+ March 15th, with new episodes dropping every Wednesday.
