The latest release in the Assassin’s Creed franchise has been revealed. Taking place in the Ninth Century, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will follow the story of Eivor. Playable as male or female, Eivor is the leader of band of Norsemen heading for England, after choosing to leave Norway due to ongoing wars and dwindling resources.

That game was officially unveiled with a cinematic trailer featuring the male Eivor in battle, following a previous reveal of the game’s title and setting with a live stream of the artwork creation from BossLogic.

During the trailer premiere, it was also confirmed that the game will be among the launch titles for the upcoming PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and will be available on PC as a digital release through Ubisoft’s own UPlay platform and the Epic Games Stores. Ubisoft later announced that there will be four editions of Assassin’s Creed ValhallaStandard, Gold, Ultimate and Collector’s Edition – each with their own bonuses and in-game parks.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is scheduled for a Holiday 2020 release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC and Google Stadia. Watch the artwork timelapse below.
