Gaming News: E3 2018 – Square Enix Presentation

The company showcased their upcoming titles in a video presentation.

Square Enix has hosted their E3 presentation at the annual event. In contrast with previous presentations, the company chose to present their upcoming titles in a video presentation, broadcast live to the conference.

Included in the showcase were more in-depth looks at Shadow of the Tomb Raider, in which Lara Croft must stop a Mayan apocalypse and also deal with the machinations of the Trinity organisation, as well as the first look at Just Cause 4. Set in the fictional country of Solis, protagonist Rico Rodriguez travels to this idyllic country and finds that all is not as it seems, especially when it comes to the Black Hand militia and their ruthless leader, Gabriella.

Among the other announcements was the latest chapter of the Dragon Quest series. Dragon Quest XI will launch worldwide on September 4, following a successful launch in Japan in 2017. Fans also got another look at some of the new worlds coming to Kingdom Hearts III, including an extended look at how the world of Frozen fits into the story before it’s planned launch in January 2019.

Also announced was A Quiet Man, which featured a live-action trailer transitioning into a short gameplay demo featuring an apparently deaf protagonist fending off an attack in New York City.
