Gaming News: Project xCloud To Join Game Pass Ultimate

Microsoft has confirmed that their streaming platform, Project xCloud, will be available to players with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription from September 15.

Currently priced at £10.99/$14.99/€12.99 per month, Game Pass Ultimate is Xbox’s premium subscription service. It includes Game Pass for both PC and console and the Xbox Live Gold service – which includes free games and online multiplayer access.

When the service launches, players with Game Pass Ultimate will be able to stream over 100 games on their mobile devices using the Cloud in 22 different countries. To give players a glimpse of what they can expect, Microsoft also unveiled a shortlist of games that will be available on xCloud at launch. They are:

  • Bleeding Edge
  • Costume Quest 2
  • Crackdown 3 (campaign only)
  • Destiny 2
  • F1 2019
  • Forza Horizon 4
  • Gears of War: Ultimate Edition
  • Gears of War 4
  • Gears 5 Ultimate Edition
  • Grounded
  • Halo 5: Guardians
  • Halo Wars: Definitive Edition
  • Halo Wars 2
  • Halo: The Master Chief Collection
  • Halo: Spartan Assault
  • Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
  • Killer Instinct Definitive Edition
  • Max: The Curse of Brotherhood
  • Minecraft Dungeons
  • The Outer Worlds
  • Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition
  • Ori and the Will of the Wisps
  • Quantum Break
  • ReCore: Definitive Edition
  • Ryse: Son of Rome

The company also confirmed the requirements for devices to run Project xCloud – a mobile device featuring Android 6.0 or greater and Bluetooth version 4.0+, the Game Pass app, compatible Xbox Wireless controller and a internet connection of either 5GHz (wi-fi) or 10Mbps (mobile data).

Project xCloud is scheduled to be added to Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions at no extra cost from September 15.
