The beta for the new Tom Clancy game had been due to take place this month.

Ubisoft confirmed on their blog that the closed beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division had been delayed until next year. However, those on Xbox One who pre-ordered the game will have access to a closed alpha session this week. Those on the wait list for the alpha will be allowed access “on an as needed basis” during the four day opening.

Players in the alpha sessions will have access to a version of The Division that includes more than the Dark Zone PvP areas. Those admitted to the alpha will have to sign non-disclosure agreements, banning them from talking about the content (outside the official alpha forum) or sharing any images and/or video from the session.

As for the beta, Ubisoft have stated that the beta will happen “early 2016” on each of the platforms. Those who have pre-ordered the game on any of the platforms will be allowed access to the beta, and all it’s contents, when the dates are confirmed.

Tom Clancy’s The Division is scheduled to be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on March 8 2016. Watch a trailer below.
