Microsoft have announced details of a major upgrade coming to Xbox 360 consoles.

As part of the update, cloud storage on devices will upgrade to 2GB from 512MB and game libraries will shown which games will be playable on Xbox One ahead of the backwards compatibility update for the next-gen console.

Changes to the Activity Feed will showcase all aspect of player activity across all Xbox platforms – including Windows 10 devices. Players will be able to keep track of what their friends are playing and can share broadcasts, achievements and other items with the Feed update.

With the update, devices will be able to connect easier to networks away from home, be able to redeem codes straight from messages, have more support for Microsoft Movies & TV and Groove music and also have better visibility for account balances.

Xbox One Preview members can access the backwards compatibility feature now, with non Preview members gaining access to the feature with an update to come later in the year.
