To commemorate this achievement, the developer’s team at Capcom posted on their X account a video featuring the beloved cast of characters and thanking the players for their support.
The players follow the story of the beloved federal agent Leon S. Kennedy, whose mission is to rescue First Daughter Ashley Graham in Spain. For those looking for even more action, the developers offer a DLC called Separate Ways—the journey of another fan favourite character, Ada Wong, whose story adds even more nuance to the main campaign
First released in 2005 by Capcom, Resident Evil 4 gained much traction in the horror genre, earning it multiple Game of the Year Awards wins the same year. The revival of this game in 2023 was a triumph for the franchise—the remake introduces to the scene an updated plot, characters, and visuals that align with the current era of Resident Evil games. The game further cemented its success by winning the Golden Joystick Award in the category PlayStation Game Of The Year in 2023.
