Some of the West End’s biggest stars are coming together to celebrate the festivities this Christmas season for West End Musical Christmas.
This all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza will be performed live at the Lyric Theatre for one night only on 20 December.
The line-up includes stars such as West End and Broadway sensation John Owen-Jones (Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera) who is the UK’s youngest ever Jean Valjean and longest-running Phantom, Emma Hatton (Wicked, Evita) who rose to fame playing Elphaba in Wicked, Oliver Ormson (Frozen, The Book Of Mormon), Jodie Steele (Heathers, Six), Obi Ugoala (Frozen, Hamilton), and Idriss Kargbo (Wicked, The Lion King).
The concert will feature a live band and dance ensemble, and special guests are yet to be announced.
It is set to be hosted by Shanay Holmes (The Bodyguard), who is currently playing Cindy Breakspeare in Get Up Stand Up! and will be produced by West End Musical Productions, who create new ways for audiences to experience theatre. The company is run by Holmes alongside Chris Steward, and they work on inclusive and diverse projects.
Their events include West End Musical Celebration, which runs on the first Monday of every month and was one of the first shows to reopen West End theatres after lockdown, and West End Musical Brunch, which runs every weekend.
Tickets for West End Musical Christmas are being sold from £25 and can be purchased online.
