Streamer and content creator Rachel Hofstetter, also known as “Valkyrae”, announced that she is now a co-owner in the Esports organisation 100 Thieves. She announced the amazing news on Twitter, where she said she is “beyond excited” for her future with the organisation.

Streamer Jack “CouRage” Dunlop was also announced to be joining as a co-owner. The two of them will join the ranks of well-known names like Drake, Scooter Braun, Dan Gilbert and Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag.

In a video introducing the new co-owners Matthew Haag, CEO of 100 Thieves, said “This is probably the most important day in 100 Thieves history. I could have never predicted that we would be sitting here and welcoming Valkyrae and CouRage officially as co-owners of 100 Thieves.”

The announcement marks a new milestone in the streamer’s extraordinary career as she is one of the first female co-owners in Esports. Valkyrae first joined 100 Thieves three years ago as a content creator while still streaming on Twitch. In January 2020, she left the platform for an exclusive contract with YouTube and has since become one of the most watched female streamers in the world.

According to Stream Hatchet‘s Q1 2021 Live Game Streaming Trends Report, Hofstetter is at the top spot as most watched female streamer with 12.2 million views. She also won the Content Creator of the Year award at The Game Awards 2020. Her recent other successes include being one of the creators on Jimmy Fallon’s charity Among Us stream and starring in a music video with Machine Gun Kelly.

Valkyrae’s journey has inspired millions to love and follow her. And although little is still known about what her role as a co-owner will entail in terms of responsibilities it’s safe to say that this is a big step forward for women in the streaming industry.
