After delighting audiences at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham, The Great British Bake Off Musical is preparing to transfer to the West End next year.

Inspired by the much-loved TV show, this new musical comedy follows eight amateur bakers as they seek to impress the judges and compete to be crowned star baker. When the cooking trials and tribulations begin, audiences are taken on a journey filled with songs and dance. In a production which promises a “signature slice of humour, heart, and abundant joy,” The Great British Bake Off musical treats audiences to a taste of “uplifting” and “adrenaline-fuelled” escapism.

The show was created in collaboration with creative director and executive producer Richard McKerrow, and the producers of TV wonder Love Productions. It will be directed by Rachel Kavanaugh and features an original score written by Jake Brunger and Pippa Cleary.

Many of the production’s original cast members will be reprising their roles, including award-winning West End and Broadway star John Owen Jones who will play the silver-fox judge Phil Hollinghurst.

Joining him back on stage will be Scott Paige as the presenter alongside those playing the Bake Off contestants: Claire Moore, Charlotte Wakefield, Damian Humbley, Catriana Sandison, Jay Saighal, Michael Cahill and Aharon Rayner, who will be making his West End debut. Further casting details will be announced soon.

The show will open at the Noël Coward Theatre for a limited twelve-week run from 25 February to 13 May 2023. Tickets are available for purchase on the Bake Off The Musical website.
