Last week, the Universal Pictures Content Group filmed The London Dominion’s The Prince of Egypt.

Directed by Brett Sullivan and produced by Dione Orrom, the live recording will be released at a later date.

The Prince of Egypt is a stage adaptation of the DreamWorks animated film of the same name which retells the story of Moses. Directed by Scott Schwartz, the theatrical adaptation features award-winning music from Stephen Schwartz and the internationally renowned choreography of Sean Cheesman.

The cast and orchestra has over 60 members. Luke Brady will play the role of Moses, while Liam Tamne is Ramses, Christine Allado is Tzipporah and Alexia Khadime is Miriam. Joe Dixon will play Seti, while Debbie Kurup will play Tuya and Oliver Lidert will play Jethro.

Kevin Depinet is responsible for set design, and costume design is by Ann Hould-Ward. Lighting design is by Mike Billings and sound design is by Gareth Owen.

The final live performance will take place on 8 January 2022. Extra shows are currently running on the 20, 21, and 28 December along with performances on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.

Originally opening on 25 February 2020, The Prince of Egypt reopened on 1 July after shutting down in response to the pandemic.

The Original Cast Recording, which was released by Ghostlight Records in 2020, was nominated for a Grammy award for ‘Best Musical Theatre Album’ in 2021.
