Track Review: Blood Red Sun // Dollhouse

Stroud-hailing four piece Dollhouse create moody soundscapes on their latest single ‘Blood Red Sun’. Swirling electronics begin the song as other instruments are added to fuel a raging cacophony. Then a robust, phase clad guitar riff transports us to the verse.  During this section the sturdy, dry drums anchor the reverberated vocals to create an eerie atmosphere.

Elements of this track could be seen as a pastiche of Joy Division however ‘Blood Red Sun’ remains inventive and intriguing to listen to. A murky breath of fresh air.
