Ontario-born Amber Edgar describes herself in her Twitter bio as a “creative creature” and, after listening to her latest track ‘Good Will Rise’, it’s easy to see that she’s right. Now living in Canada, Amber is an independent, self-managed artist who – entirely alone – manages to consistently produce astonishingly beautiful tracks.

‘Good Will Rise’ perfectly marries beautiful acoustic guitar melodies with the singer’s somewhat husky, alto vocals in a song about the hope that eventually the “good will rise” above the dark days. As the track builds, thunderous drum beats and falsetto come to meet the songs calm opening to create a swelling flurry that perfectly showcases Amber Edgar’s self-confessed creativity. The song is a cacophony of opposites that somehow work perfectly with one another to create an unmistakeably beautiful piece. Amber’s other tracks are no exception to this rule either so, if you fall in love with ‘Good Will Rise’, check out her other offerings too – she won’t disappoint.
