Half Welsh, half Mississippian two-piece Lewis and Leigh consists of former solo artists Al Lewis and Alva Leigh. The two met through a mutual friend and joined forces, and their once casual song writing led to the duo releasing two EPs; Night Drives and Hidden Years. Their third EP entitled Hidden Truths – on which this track features – is set to be released mid-October.

‘Heart Don’t Want’ begins with a simple acoustic guitar riff and distinctive female vocals, which are then matched by smooth male vocals to create captivating harmonies which are apparent all the way through the song. Following this is the introduction of a more upbeat, extremely catchy chorus which listeners can’t help but tap along to due to the steady beat of the track. The vocals blend and complement each other perfectly during the harmonies and this, coupled with the easy-going, relaxed vibe and memorable lyrics, make this track highly enjoyable.
