Track Review: Lots of Nights Out // The Brave Faces

The Brave Faces recently released new single ‘Lots of Nights Out’, which is a brilliant slice of post-punk that evokes a moody yet positive atmosphere. Their production is dark, reminding me of White Lies at their peak.

What I love about ‘Lots of Nights Out’ is the positive message: “Don’t talk away / give it time / time to heal / it’ll be okay.” These lyrics are short and sharp, but they get straight to the point. The song is about how you get to an age where you think you’ve got it sorted but you haven’t. As someone who has these thoughts regularly, the lyrics are a positive beacon of hope that there is still plenty of time to figure yourself out.

The band are growing in confidence musically, as demonstrated by the catchy licks and melodies that weave their way through the song.

‘Lots of Nights Out’ shows that it is okay to take a step back and reflect on yourself. It is another brilliant song by The Brave Faces, and I’m sure we’ll hear more from them soon.

‘Lots Of Nights Out’ is out now.
