It is fair to say The Last Dinner Party have not been resting on their laurels this summer. Fresh from a string of high-profile festival slots and a stunning support slot to Olivia Rodrigo at London’s BST Hyde Park, the London five-piece have spent the past few months cementing their reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting live acts. From captivating crowds at Lollapalooza Paris, Truck Festival, Tramlines, and more, the band have teased crowds with live versions of tracks from their forthcoming sophomore album From The Pyre.
Now, as the dust settles on a triumphant festival season, The Last Dinner Party have announced their biggest headline run to date—a 35-date tour that stretches from Dublin to Oslo, taking in arenas and theatres in the UK, Europe, and Australia. Kicking off at Dublin’s 3Arena on 14th November, the run includes a series of UK dates, culminating in two nights at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on 7th and 8th December. The tour begins in Australia in January 2026 before heading across Europe in February and March.
The announcement of such a huge tour is a statement of intent from a band on the rise. It will allow their growing fanbase to hear how tracks from their new album translate live. From The Pyre arrives 17th October via Island EMI, and was introduced by the gloriously unhinged lead single ‘This Is The Killer Speaking’. The record is produced by Grammy Award-winner Markus Dravs (Wolf Alice, Florence + The Machine, Björk). The two follow-up singles, ‘The Scythe’ and ‘Second Best’, hint at a darker, more earthy sound that retains the flamboyance and supreme musicianship of their acclaimed debut, Prelude to Ecstasy.
The band have described From the Pyre as “a collection of stories, and the concept of album-as-mythos binds them. ‘The Pyre’ itself is an allegorical place in which these tales originate, a place of violence and destruction but also regeneration, passion and light”. While the album takes on a darker tone and is more character-driven, it is still described as personal, with “commonplace life event pushed to pathological extreme”. Fans who appreciate The Last Dinner Party’s witty yet honest observations need not fear, as From the Pyre “also feels metatextual and cheeky in places, like a knowing look reflected back at ourselves.”
These are exciting times for a band who have signalled their place as one of the most thrilling new forces on the British music scene and already have two BRIT awards under their belt (including Breakthrough Artist in 2025). The artist-audience synergy The Last Dinner Party bring to every live performance, combined with genuine chemistry and brilliant musicianship, means this tour is one not to miss.
