Gigglemug Theatre’s highly popular shows Scouts! The Musical and A Jaffa Cake Musical are now available to watch online.
Scouts! The Musical was created in partnership with The Scouts, taking place at the annual Scout Games, while A Jaffa Cake Musical is inspired by the 1991 court case that ruled if a Jaffa Cake is a cake or a biscuit.
Both shows have toured this summer and reached over 8000 people, with A Jaffa Cake Musical having a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Sam Cochrane, Artistic Director of Gigglemug Theatre, said: “I am thrilled that our two most successful productions will now find a new life online. We could only tour the shows to a handful of places, but now wherever you are in the world you’ll be able to watch Scouts! The Musical and A Jaffa Cake Musical from the comfort of your own home whenever you like!”
“We were lucky enough to regularly sell out which meant that people often missed out on tickets, so it’s wonderful that those who missed the productions will now get to see them and those who enjoyed the shows before can watch them again!”
Gigglemug Theatre debuted their first show Timpson: The Musical in 2018 at The Other Palace, before travelling to Edinburgh Fringe. Their second show RuneSical, an interactive musical based inspired by the online game RuneScape, premiered at The Gilded Balloon in 2022.
Scouts! The Musical and A Jaffa Cake Musical are available to watch on Lounges.TV, with tickets costing £10.
