Several ‘Nintendo Switch 2 Edition’ upgrades of existing LEGO titles released for the original Nintendo Switch may have been leaked at a recent convention.

A banner displayed at the recent Zurich Pop Con, captured by @LEGOGameMuseum & @rebateman2004, displayed promotional art of five LEGO games underneath a Nintendo Switch 2 logo, despite the featured games currently only running via backwards compatibility on the new system.

The games specifically shown are:

  • LEGO City Undercover
  • LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
  • LEGO Jurassic World
  • LEGO Harry Potter Collection
  • LEGO DC Super Villains

However, a separate post on BlueSky by @legogamesnews appeared to also show off screen gameplay of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 at the booth, indicating that support may not be limited to the five titles shown in the banner. Notable exclusions from the current list of titles include the original LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and LEGO The Incredibles.

There has been no official announcement from LEGO, WB Games, or TT Games regarding the upgrades yet, though other similar upgrades have typically increased frame rates and resolutions, especially in handheld mode, in order to match the upgraded 1080p screen on the new system. With the exception of LEGO Harry Potter Collection, most of the games currently run at 30FPS at lower resolutions, and so a push to 60FPS seems likely, along with sharper image quality.

What also is not yet clear is what form these upgrades would take. However, with the games often going on sale digitally for as low as £4, a free update appears to be the most likely approach, with titles such as Splatoon 3 and Pokémon Scarlet & Violet also having received similar support.
