Next year, visitors to the Natural History Museum in London will be able to discover creatures of a different kind in a surprise collaboration, as Pokémon arrive at the museum for the first time.
From 26 January through to 22 March, the Cranbourne Boutique will be host to the UK’s first ever Pokémon pop-up store based in a museum to coincide with the brand’s 30th anniversary in February, following on from the Pokémon Centre pop-up store seen at ExCeL London during the recent European International Championships.
The store will stock a number of products said to be inspired by the museum’s archives, such as clothing, stationery, prints, and accessories, though undoubtedly the key draw is a unique plush toy of the brand’s mascot Pikachu hugging a small replica of the museum decorated in Pikachu’s iconic design. The Pokémon Eevee also appears in promotional shots released for the collaboration, hinting that it may also feature in designs sold by the store. A selection of the products will also be available through the Natural History Museum’s online store, and it has been stated that all profits from both in-person and online sales will help fund the museum’s work as a charitable organisation.
Entry to the pop-up store is free, although booking is required, with tickets available from 1 October 2025 and all tickets including fast-track entry to the museum itself. Fans can also sign up for a priority list until 10:00 a.m. on September 29, 2025, to be the first to know when tickets are released and to receive announcements about the collaboration.
