A decade ago, Halsey’s groundbreaking concept album, Badlands, was released, taking Tumblr by storm. The twenty-year old – equipped with blue hair, growing pains and a dream – swept listeners into her cinematic universe with her stellar lyricism and vivid soundscapes. The record became an instant classic in the indie realm, defining a generation of young people who found home in her sonic dimension.
To celebrate ten years of her catapult to alt-pop stardom, Halsey is releasing an 10th Anniversary Edition of the record, a double-feature music video for ‘Drive’ and ‘Gasoline’, two of the album’s most beloved tracks, and – most excitingly, a world tour.
The tour spans North America, Europe, the UK and Australia from late 2025 to early 2026. Fans can expect a mature take on her debut, one that honours her original material while reflecting the experience she has cultivated over the last decade.
Taking to X, she described the tour as a “club tour”, with “tiny venues” and “GA floors”, promising an intimate gig that truly recreates the early shows of her career. She has the capacity to sell out stadiums, but instead, she is deliberately choosing to strip back the spectacle to allow fans to experience the album in its raw form, as she prioritises connection over grandeur. It’s an admirable move that proves her devotion to her artistry.
Tickets for the Back To Badlands Tour go on sale this week.
