Resident Evil: Survival Unit a new game from Aniplex and JOYCITY

On 6 July 2025, Aniplex Inc. President Atsuhiro Iwakami officially announced a new mobile strategy game titled Resident Evil Survival Unit. It is a project developed in collaboration with JOYCITY and Capcom, seeing as the title draws inspiration from the legendary Resident Evil franchise.

Resident Evil Survival Unit reimagines the known zombie apocalypse world of the Resident Evil franchise, offering a real-time strategy experience tailored for mobile platforms. Designed with longtime fans and newcomers in mind, the game will be released globally on iOS and Android across Japan, South Korea, North America, Europe, and Asia.

To give future players a closer look, an online showcase event is scheduled for 10 July 2025, at 11.00 PM (BST) / 10.00 PM (UTC) / 3.00 PM (PDT) / 5.00 PM (CDT) / 6.00 PM (EDT), and 11 July 2025 at 7:00 AM JST, which will allow the team to reveal more details about the game. The event will be streamed on the game’s official website, with pre-registration now open to the public.

For fans eager to be up to date with the latest information, the game’s official channels are already live, including a YouTube channel and social media accounts across X, Discord, and Instagram.
