CM Punk has been officially unveiled as the cover star for WWE 2K26. After numerous social media teases, the announcement was made by longtime WWE commentator Michael Cole at a kick-off event for the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia.

This will mark the second time the current World Heavyweight Champion has been the cover star of the series, having previously been the cover athlete for WWE 2K13. Set to release in March, the game will be available in several editions. The King of Kings Edition will centre around Triple H and his illustrious career in the ring, while the Attitude Era and Monday Night War Editions will examine two iconic eras in WWE’s past.

While little details were shared about which game modes will be a part of this year’s edition, some of the roster have already been confirmed. Among those confirmed are the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky, previous cover stars Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes and Hall of Famers Booker T and Lita. NXT superstar Joe Hendry will be a pre-order bonus for all editions.

WWE 2K26 will be released on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC on March 13.
