Marvel’s Avengers has faced a price cut after it has been announced that the game will no longer receive official support after 30 September.
The price of the game has been cut by 90%, which makes it £4.49 on the Playstation Store, or £2.99 on Steam.
Marvel’s Avengers will no longer be available to buy from 30 September, however, players who own the game will still be able to play all available content, and participate in some limited time events. There will be no further updates to the game, and no customer support will be available.
The game developers released a note that outlined these changes alongside news of the price cut.
“As we’ve previously announced, official support for Marvel’s Avengers: Definitive Edition is ending on Sept. 30, 2023, and the game will no longer be purchasable on Steam. However, we wanted to reassure you that while the game will no longer be for sale, the game will remain playable for owners largely as it is today,” the note reads.
“Thank you to all our players for joining us on these adventures and letting us tell our stories with Kamala, Bruce, Tony, Steve, Nat, Thor, Clint, Kate, T’Challa, Pete, Jane, and Bucky. For anyone who hasn’t joined us yet, we hope you jump on this final chance to join Earth’s Mightiest Heroes alongside your friends.

Marvel’s Avengers is an action-adventure game developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix. It was released in 2020 and features a wide range of characters from the Marvel Universe, including Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Widow.
